3D Checkers is a checkers game for Android. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, who receives it, and what you can do about it.
The app has no user accounts, no login and no chat. Nothing you do in the game is stored anywhere under our control, and we never see, hold, or have access to any data about you as an individual.
Jeroen Stolk is the data controller for this app. Contact: contact@nordictulip.com
Data collection in this app is performed by Google, through two services built into it. We receive only aggregate, anonymous statistics from them — never information that identifies you.
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (advertising) |
Advertising ID, IP address, device type and operating system, and interactions with ads shown in the app. | To show ads, which is how the app is funded, and to measure whether those ads worked. |
| Google Analytics for Firebase (usage statistics) |
A randomly generated app-instance identifier, device model, operating system version and approximate country, plus two in-game events: when a game starts (whether each side is a person or the computer, and the difficulty setting), and when it ends (who won, or why it was drawn). | To understand how the game is actually played and which parts need improving. |
When you play a friend online, the moves travel between the two phones through a small relay server run on Cloudflare. The relay passes each move straight on to the other player and does not store it; nothing about the game is written to disk, and a room is closed 30 minutes after its last message. No analytics event records the room code or who you played.
Like any server on the internet, the relay necessarily sees your IP address in order to connect you. Cloudflare's handling of that is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. If you never play online, the app never contacts the relay.
The game remembers a few preferences on your own device: your chosen table surface, camera view and game setup, and a counter used to space out the ads. None of these ever leave your phone, and all are deleted when you uninstall the app.
You can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings in the app's menu. You can also reset your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised ads entirely, in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
Analytics event data is retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically. Advertising data is governed by Google's own retention policies. The relay keeps nothing.
Ads may be supplied by Google's advertising partners, who receive the data described above in order to select and measure ads. The current list is shown in the consent screen inside the app, under “Manage options”, and in Google's list of ad technology providers.
Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
This app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold no data about you ourselves, requests about advertising or analytics data must generally be made to Google. Write to contact@nordictulip.com and we will help where we can.
If you are in Denmark and believe your data has been mishandled, you may complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
